Welcome Back To School Wonderful Whitman Scholars!!! As a reminder, school begins Thursday, August 14, 2025 with classes starting at 8:30 a.m. To be certain that you are on time, join us at 8:00 a.m. as we celebrate your return to school!

Los Angeles Unified has created a We Are One Family Care Package with important resources to support families during uncertain times. It includes information on:

● Know Your Rights
● Legal referrals through trusted partners
● Mental health services and emergency tools

You can access these materials online at lausd.org/weareone and on campus the first day of school.

Join us Friday, November 22nd at 9:00 a.m. for our Local School Leadership Council on Zoom as we meet to discuss the new cell phone policy and for oyr School Site Council Meeting to determine the expenditures of additional Title I funds allocated to the school. The deadline to register to vote in the November Election is October 21 – just one week from today!
There’s still time to make sure your voice is heard in this election – visit lavote.net to register before the deadline or pick up a paper application at a County Elections office, library, Department of Motor Vehicles office, or a U.S. Post Office. Eligible 16- and 17-year old’s can pre-register at: https://covr.sos.ca.gov/.

Voter registration is an important step in ensuring your voice is heard in local, state, and national elections. At Whitman High School, we encourage all eligible students, staff, and parents to take part in this vital civic responsibility. Registering to vote is simple and only takes a few minutes.
