With few exceptions, classes at West resume in Online format on Monday, April 13, 2020. Faculty has spent the last two weeks making course content available through Canvas and other means while areas such as Counseling, Financial Aid, the Library and Tutoring have made their services available through phone, email, LiveChat and online meetings – all with the intent of helping you achieve your educational goals.

Hello My Wonderful Whitman Student & Welcome Back!!! Spring Break has ended and now it is time to get back to work starting tomorrow,, Monday, April 13, 2020. The attached schedule with the Zoom links are for you to receive instruction from, communicate, and work with your teachers. Please be certain that you download the Zoom app (it works like Facetime) and you will be able to continue with your new classes that are being assigned to you. Please be certain that you log into the classes and office hours so that your teachers can explain how you will be taught during the last 10 weeks of the semester.

GRAB & GO STILL OPEN

Good evening families. This is Principal Charles with an important message. All 60 Grab and Go Food Centers operated by Los Angeles Unified will be open on Friday, March 20. While the Governor and Mayor have both issued “Stay at Home” orders, they stated that they expect essential services like food centers to remain open. For more information, please visit lausd.net.

Todos los 60 Centros de Comida para Llevar operados por el Distrito Unificado de Los Ángeles estarán abiertos el viernes, 20 de marzo. Aunque tanto el gobernador como el alcalde han dado órdenes de "Permanecer en su casa", dijeron que cuentan con que sigan abiertos los servicios más necesarios, como los centros de comidas. LAUSD GRAB & GO MEAL LOCATIONS

Good Evening My Wonderful Whitman Students!!!
Please see the information below for the locations of the LAUSD Grab & Go meals starting Wednesday, March 18, 2020. The list is separated by Local District but, there are 60 locations throughout the city so, you can select the one closest to your home.

Los Angeles Unified will continue to provide nutritious meals to all students who need them during the temporary closure of schools. Our Grab & Go Food Centers will be open beginning Wednesday, March 18, and will be staffed weekdays from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m.

Families who would like to pick up free meals for their students may visit one of our 60 Grab & Go Food Centers. Packaged shelf-stable meals for pick-up and take-away will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis, and families may pick up two meals at a time for each student.
